I’m writing this because in my desperation to find something to distract myself from the work I should be doing, I’ve run back and forth between here, Livejournal, Vox, and Facebook about 50 times tonight. I’m hoping if I post, maybe other people will feel the need to do the same, and then tomorrow when I’m feeling this way again, I’ll have new things to read.
Between this Beethoven research paper and a listening test I had in Music History today, I’ve done nothing but immerse myself in classical music this week. I just threw on some Beatles, and it’s almost bizarre to be listening to something 100% because I feel like it at the moment. It’s DELIGHTFUL. Practicing for Friday’s upcoming Coffeehouse Craptacular Spectacular has reminded me how much I love playing this kind of stuff. Unfortunately, Ashton does not particularly enjoy the Beatles to the same degree as I. I’ve always wanted to host a Beatles Night of some kind, possibly a kind of Open Mic experience. Maybe someday, and probably in Montevallo when it happens.
In other, much more embarrassing news, today I successfully ate an entire Tombstone pizza, all by myself (admittedly not all at one time, but still). The human body will go to great lengths to avoid homework, even if that involves eating an inordinate (and unhealthy) amount of delicious (and unhealthy) food. Who wants everything in moderation? In the immortal words of Queen, I want it all, and I want it now. Moving on.
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan was one of the most amazing movies of all time. If you haven’t already seen it and you want to giggle nonstop and feel uncomfortable for roughly 90 minutes of your life, see it.
Alright, that’s all I got. Someone else post? For me? Please? Possible topics for discussion include but are not limited to: What are you doing? What are you thinking? Have you ever eaten that much pizza? Did you ever hear that rumor that I did cocaine? Be creative, people.
