I went to a Chinese Buffet today. Don’t you guys love getting the fortunes at the end of the meal? Only, my fortune was more like a riddle today. This is what it read, “The mystical is not how the world is, but that it is.” What the heck does that mean? Would someone please explain their interpretation of this?
I like collecting my fortunes that I recieve. I must have at least a hundred now. Perhaps someday I’ll create a pinata filled with these things. No candy for the kids. “What are you talking about candy? I’m saving your parents’ money by preventing you from getting cavaties! Fill your brain with knowledge, not your mouth with junk food!” I won’t be the old lady that gives out apples at Halloween though. That just ain’t cool.

That fortune was probably a typo or an english tranlation of some witty saying in chinese, which writen in english doesnt even make sence. I always get the dumb fortunes, the ones that say things like “you are creative”, or “People like you”. That isnt even a fortune, it’s also not true. The only one ive gotten that ever made me feel good was from Kelsey when i was in boot camp and it read ” The begining is always the hardest”. God i hope thats true.

“The mystical is not how the world is, but that it is.” You may choose to believe that I Vlad am not of the supernatural, and have none of the powers to which I claim. However, a man of great power and will to survive only by feeding on man’s flesh is very probable. In other words, the world isn’t filled with mystical, magical, supernatural, lightning from these eyes type things, however, there are amazing things, peaople, places, and ideas that are very close. I hope this is of some help, or gives you a different, or even better view point of the fortune.

Thank you for your insight Vlad. That’s kinda what I thought the “fortune” meant. Sort of like, not only is there beauty in how everything works, but it’s a wonder that we are here at all along with every thing else that exists. That’s how I saw it anyway; it’s hard to explain.
