Pondering Ponds and other thoughts…

In several cases(1), Zero is considered a number.

Also in other cases(2), Zero is considered a place holder.

Thoughts to ponder:

Case 1-Any number divided by itself equals the number 1.

           If zero is considered a number and is divided by itself, you would get 1. Something from nothing? Peculiar. o/o=1  Zero is “nothing”. So could this be the formula used for “free” energy, perhaps proof that matter can be created, or how about proof that God does exist.

 Case 2-On a number line there are two spectrums. One extends into positive numbers, and the other end extends into negative numbers.

             Zero is always included on a number line, usually not as a positive or negative number; but as a placeholder of sorts.Zero is the start of two points into infinity. Here’s the interesting part, we know the number line includes: a negative spectrum of infinity, zero, and a positive spectrum of infinity. The only thing seperating the two is the number(or place holder) of zero. Suppose we are standing in at the zero point and both ends are extending as far as the eye can see. I think it would be plausible to theorize that zero is not only a place holder to connect the two spectrums; but it also serves as the midpoint to infinity.

We could stop here, but I want to dive a little further.

Is infinity a line? If so, how could it go on forever.. Hence the Universe. Does the Universe extend forever? There is no way of knowing yet or quite possibly ever; but let’s continue. It’s hard to fathom something physical extending in all directions with no limit. If the Universe is infinite, that suggests it will continue to expand forever. Wouldn’t there be a limit sooner or later on how far you could extend something? If the Universe is expanding, it would be possible to travel faster than the rate of expansion and reach the beginning; or what we have theorized as the midpoint. This would lead one to believe in other dimension, black holes, etc. I think the universe is sort of in a donut shape, one end expanding or re-using while the other is getting recycled or possibly extending into an entirely different dimension thus creating a starting point for that particular dimension or universe.

    But what is the Universe expanding into

    There are theories that suggest that not only is the universe expanding outward, but that it’s slowing down and will one day began to contract–pressing all of it’s once widely-spaced matter into one big mass. And then–supposedly–boom! The dense mass explodes etc., etc. Edgar Allan Poe called it the cosmic heartbeat (the expanding and contracting of the universe) but it reminds me more of the rising and falling of our own diaphragms. Kind of like God’s respiration. If the whole expansion and contraction bit is true, kind of puts in perspective everything’s futility.

    Even if humans make it off the planet in time to avoid the ballooning of our sun and destruction of Earth, the Universe will just gobble us up anyway on the downswing.

    Is it weird that I wouldn’t really mind too much if the Universe gobbled us up in our lifetime? I mean, why not? It would be something to tell the grandkids. The hilariously compacted and nonexistent grandkids.

    mmm…yess…..too bad zero all in all is not so much a number at all, but the lack of a number instead. much like the color black is not really a color at all, but the lack of all color. But you cna still buy black ‘colored’ paint. It still isn’t color. and zero isn’t a number.

    but ive got an even bigger fathoming for you that just may blow your universe away (or suck it in) - - I am zero. Not the lack of a number zero, the super hero from megaman X. (and also the dog in Nightmare Before Christmas.)

    I thought black was all colors and white wasn’t a color? Do I have this backwards? Phsyics always screwed me over with that, after the whole primary colors in paint/objects vs. primary colors in light. Go to hell, green. You’re no primary color to me, light or no light.

    None of this has to do with zero. Sorry.

    Meh, colors…shmolors….
    There are many theories on the Universe, but mine are purely my own and what i’ve thought about in my spare time. If i read other people’s theories like say…Edgar mang’s i’m pretty sure i’d adopt it,lol. because mine is shit…haha

    This has to be funniest gang bang of entries ive read thus far. And concerning the black and white thing, black is the composition of all material colors while white is the composition of all light colors, so in a sence you were all right but you were also all wrong and i am also wrong because this is the longest run-on sentance ive ever writen. :P
