and my summer is winding down.

july is fleeing for its life, and will be gone when i wake up in a couple of days. its ok though because it puts me closer to some things i want to do. i am headed to atlanta on tres de agosto for “THE WARPED TOUR”. i had a short coversation with a friend of mine over the whole connotation of that phrase. he said it in a mocking sort of way (as he often does in accordance to things he isn’t going to be able to attend), and i asked him why it mattered if it was the warped tour or some underground hardcore show that no one had heard of. i am going to see reggie and the full effect and a few other bands. i could care less if it is poser capital. i am going to have fun. the end.

also, on my schedule, at some unknown time, is the evolution of my position at the fox. right now i am doing gratuitous bitch work, pushing buttons, learning the ropes. tomorrow i will run my first live remote from the studio-still the unsung hero of the station as my voice will not be heard. however, when i was about to get off of work tuesday, my boss (yes THE rick hendrick-haven’t you seen the fast phone commercials?) told me that although normally part-time help never gets even close to being on the radio, he wanted another female voice for the station, and with the rate of which i had picked up everything already, he knew i was right for it..whether it be 2 weeks 2 months etc etc-but it boosted my morale and gave me much hope for the future.

also, with this new job comes wondrous perks. i have 2 tickets to the coldplay/rilo kiley show and have not yet decided who i should take. i am thinking of holding a “hailey quiz”, and whomever answers the most hailey questions correctly may accompany me.

i head back to troy in 23 days. i am soooooooo ready.
