so it is time for a real post.

i suppose you guys could catch a whif of what i am cooking these days from my little interjections here and there. i am a very busy lady..except when i am at work and don’t have any homework to work on. i actually am blowing off 3 pieces of homework and reading the remaining 200 pages of my beau brummell book right now (and i think a few of you would appreciate mister brummell. when asked what vegetables he liked, he replied “i think i may have eaten a pea once.” he was the precursor to the douchebag, and i think i would have probably had to have been his best friend.)

also, i recently “interviewed” (i put this term loosely, because they just gave me some paperwork and told me to let them know when i wanted to start) at WSFA 12 in monkeytown to intern as a producer during may, june, and the beginning of july working 3-9 am on today in alabama. i am pretty stoked to get started because the people that i will be working with seem really cool, and it is something that i am interested in, which is a breath of fresh air in the day-to-day-life department. i start at the end of the semester, which is drawing ever-nearer. i have about 3 weeks of hell left in college, and they are trying to break me. i have been taking some over-the-counter herbal nerve pills that seem to be helping, but every now and then i start to feel like there is a nuclear reactor melting down inside of me and emotions run high.

also, when mentioning wsfa, it is important to tell you guys that when people say that place is in the ghetto, they aren’t fucking around. there is public housing literally 15 yards away from the building. i had three different gang bangers in crown vics honk at me while entering and exiting the building. i forsee some good stories coming from that job.

danny and i are moving to prattville this summer, its just the hows and wheres that are in question at this point. we plan on renting unless we can find a really good deal on a house, which is a definite possibility in this market, but i am very very picky about houses and stubborn about wanted an old build with wood siding. my mom and i were driving through downtown prattville and i was telling her it was too bad that none of those little old houses ever came up for sale, and i pointed out a little place that was in obvious need of care and attention. to my surprise, turns out the guy that owns that house grew up with my dad and used to rent the place out until some rents ditched in the middle of night, taking everything including the door handles…so i have convinced my parents to beg him, on my behalf, to either let us rent or talk about buying the place. i still haven’t heard anything yet; its only been a couple of days. if it falls through..then it will probably be victoria place for mister gilmore and myself (unless any of you cats know of a cheaper deal than $435 a month).

anything is better than paying $625 for a one bedroom, and that is a great deal in montgomery.

at any rate, i will be in town by the end of august, and a college graduate with (hopefully) a tv job.

Wow, that sounds like a cool gig that you gotz going on there. I didn’t realize that rent was so much in Montgomery. That is like freeway robbery!

    High way freebery!

Yes, it is very cool–you’re going to be all jobbly soon. I’m so sorry I missed the party. I’m going to pass out now. I’m exhausted.

Hey there….hope that things are going well in finding a place. Maybe I can help by being a buyers agent. As a realtor that is very familiar with the Prattville area I see several new listings come up lately that are under 100,000 and you may qualify for a FHA loan under the new guidelines. Maybe if you take just a little time with an agent in one of your local mortgage offices they will work to get you that most important thing….a preapproval letter. It is best to let them take a look at your and possibly Danny’s credit and help you work out the details of monthly payments. If things don’t look the best then they can advise you on ways to improve your rating and suprisingly enough it may be very simple. Contact me if you would like to move toward the “American Dream” of homeownership.

Anybody know if the above comment is legitimate or spam?

She mentioned Danny by name–I’d say it’s legit. Though it’s kind of an awkward move on her part. I wonder why she didn’t solicit my “homeownership”ness? Strange times.
