it is a cold rainy day, and i was forced from the cacoon that i sleep in to go to work today. i woke up at 5:30, made danny breakfast (which is unusual, but he is a psycho and wanted to ride his bike this morning, which lasted for all of 10 minutes before he came back inside), and got ready for my morning run (which takes place indoors). he dipped for work, i ran, and as i was getting ready for a shower, i turned on the today show.
i wasn’t bummed out by the weather, or the fact that i had to work, but ann curry, as sweet and asian-esque as she is, broke my 10-year-old heart today.
brad renfroe died.
for those of you who don’t know, renfroe was the doey brown eyes behind the oldest kid in “sleepers”, huck in “tom and huck”, and the guy that ran the convenience store in ghost world. also, when i was naught but a pre-pubescent shadow of my current self, i thought he was the hottest thing on planet earth. i think he was probably like 14 at the time. i slept with his tiger-beaten face plastered over my bed, and, and i didn’t think about this until this morning, i actually wrote to the fan club.
yeah. i know.
i had read somewhere recently that he frequented jail and rehab since he was like 16, and as of this morning, he is dead.
pretty weird.
the only good thing i heard out of it is that he was in a new movie based on a bret easton ellis novel (ie “american psycho” and “the rules of attraction”) that wynona ryder and someone else that i can’t remember are also going to be in. i’m on it.

I heard about that yesterday. I had no idea that guy was so young–it was one of those actor names I always knew of an associated with an older person or something.
Sad news, indeed.

yeah he was only 25.
ironically he got chosen for “the client” after he was seen in an anti-drug skit in tennessee.
