so i write to you rather stiff-ily this afternoon after making my way to the gym yesterday for the first time in..oh..a long time, with my boyfriend who is something of a stud/gym rat. it kicked my ass. he had me lifting things and straining muscles i had forgotten that i had. even still, i had a good time, and plan on trying to get into some sort of work-out routine.
as usual, i have a lot of things on the hailey agenda here as of late. tomorrow i will start the first job with set hours that i have ever had..as a secretary/gopher for my boyfriend’s mom. it is a little intimidating because, well lets just say he got his taste for intensely stubborn/in control women somewhere. and i have to dress up. i guess that isnt so bad though cause i have been in a bit of a windpant/gym shorts/t-shirt rut here lately. it is exciting to actually know what days i will be working and to be able to count on the hours being there, unlike the radio gig (which i will be doing at night) where i am in a constant state of scrambledom to get the hours i need to pay my bils.
also, i am so so so SO done with school. i have gotten 4 of 5 grades back. all a’s except my tv news practicum class, which was pretty tough because i was a total filming and editing novice. it was probably one of the only classes i had this semester where i felt like i learned a lot. i still havent gotten my vietnam war class grade back, and when i went to go pick up my supposedly ready 15 page paper today, low and behold, he hadn’t started grading it yet, but it was at the top of the stack. then i stood around and talked about punk music as a reflection of society with him. he is a super-cool guy, but i dont think i will take him again because i can not handle the scatterbrained lesson plans he puts together.
ALSO..i got some more free concert tickets today. rick already told me he was giving me white stripes tickets (which rocks), but i wont know how many until tomorrow. well today he gave me tickets to a thing 99x in atlanta is doing. he mention chris cornell was headlining but couldnt remember the other bands. i checked out the website..yeah the other bands were just, um INTERPOL AND CAKE. i am pretty stoked, and it is on a saturday so it wont interfere with the new work schedule.

and i am moving my stuff to montgomery slowly but steadily. we wnt move into our apartment until july, but i am pretty much living with danny at his house at this point,and it is saving us on some rent money until my lease is up. we have most of the basics covered, and he is going to pick up some pots and pans in the near future. we bought a few kitchen utensils last night, and it just seems like everytime we buy something we both get giddy like little kids. gah. yep
